How to use TurnPoint
The same guidelines are in the Telegram bot under How to use → Operating guidelines (Italian: Come si usa → Decalogo operativo).
1. Indicator, not an automated strategy
TurnPoint is a proprietary indicator (a momentum oscillator) designed to highlight potential turning points on charts. It is not an automated trading system and it does not place orders. Notifications are informational.
2. Signal Price, not Entry Price
The price shown in alerts is the Signal Price: the official close of the bar when the indicator confirmed the reading. It is not a buy or sell price to execute.
3. Opening gaps
On Daily charts the reading usually forms at the official close. If the market opens with a gap versus the Signal Price, the context of the notification has already changed. Chasing the open is not a coherent use of the software: the alert remains an informational reference, not an order to chase.
4. How to use Daily notifications
A methodical way to consult the software is to read notifications before the open and compare them with the chart on your own platform. TurnPoint does not place orders. If you trade independently, it remains your choice whether to use a limit near the Signal Price — or to do nothing.
5. 2H timeframe while learning
During the trial or at the start, 2H produces more notifications and helps you see how the software behaves. 1D is slower: a single ticker can go days or weeks without an alert.
6. Timeframes and asset classes
Not every instrument moves at the same speed. As usage orientation — not a trading rule:
- Commodities: often more informative on 2H
- High-volatility crypto: often clearer on 1D (or longer chart timeframes, if you use them)
- Stocks / Forex: depends on the volatility of the individual ticker
Choose the timeframe based on how often you want to review notifications.
7. The software does not set exits
TurnPoint highlights a reading window; it does not calculate Stop Loss or Take Profit. Any capital-protection rule is yours and belongs on your platform.
8. Few alerts = filter, not a fault
Few messages mean extreme conditions did not occur on the tickers you selected. Quality over quantity.
9. Daily heartbeat
Every day at 07:00 Bangkok time the bot sends a test message: DAILY SYSTEM TEST — NOT A TRADE SIGNAL. It confirms that the server and bot are running. If no alerts arrive during the day, none of your monitored tickers met the conditions.
10. Minimum requirements
TurnPoint is a support tool. Before using it you should be able to read a chart, know your brokerage platform, and have read these guidelines plus the in-bot How to use and Tips. It is not for anyone looking for automatic signals to copy.
